Based on an original kilt discovered at the “Kingussie” Scotland this unique style of pleated kilt is a marvelous way to sport your Celtic pride!! The Kingussie has a center back box pleat, with knife pleats that wing in both directions from the box pleat. This creates a stunning, sweeping effect and will give you a very distinctive kilting style. So old is new again, and we at Skye are very proud to offer this style of kilt to you!
Discovered in the 1960’s in a castle in Kingussie, this style of kilt has a distinctive box pleat down the rear middle, with sweeping pleats that fold in both directions towards the box pleat. It is a truly magical style of pleating that gives this kind of kilt a distinctive, graceful, and most unique look.
